Recently, I got to team up with Micah Angelei Weddings and an amazing group of vendors to create a stunning editorial at The Rocke Event Centre, a beautiful wedding venue. We went with a pink and neutral theme, bringing in soft, romantic tones that felt both elegant and modern. And let me tell you—it was gorgeous.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Micah and I planned this shoot from the ground up, starting with a mood board and a clear vision in mind. We wanted something editorial yet romantic, and The Rocke’s aesthetic provided the perfect backdrop. The soft pinks and neutrals complemented the venue beautifully, creating a timeless and elegant atmosphere.
Every vendor brought their unique talents to the table, adding thoughtful details that made the shoot come to life. From the florals to the stationery suite, each element was carefully curated to reflect our vision. It was amazing to see everything come together so seamlessly—everyone was truly a dream to work with.
The Creative Process & My Approach to Shooting
When approaching this shoot, I wanted to think editorially—focusing on refined compositions, natural movement, and storytelling through the details. Rather than just capturing posed moments, I aimed to create images that felt effortless, like they belonged in a bridal magazine.
The staircase at The Rocke was one of my favorite spots to shoot. It added dimension, leading lines, and a sense of drama to the images. Whether it was the bride’s soft gown flowing as she walked down the steps or the way the light hit just right, it was a space that allowed for a lot of creativity.
With styled shoots, there’s always room to push creative boundaries—experimenting with different angles, playing with lighting, and capturing not just the beauty of the setup, but the emotions and energy within it.
Why Styled Shoots Matter
I love doing styled shoots because they allow for creative freedom while still collaborating with talented people in the industry. It’s an opportunity to step outside the usual wedding-day pressures and focus purely on the art of storytelling. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with other vendors, build relationships, and showcase what we can create when we come together.
If you’re in the middle of wedding planning and looking for amazing vendors to bring your vision to life, I can’t recommend this team enough. Their talent and attention to detail truly made this shoot something special.

An editorial winter wedding styled shoot at FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg, highlighting collaboration, winter light, and intentional design for Manitoba couples.

Kevin and Sonia’s engagement session in Winnipeg’s iconic Exchange District was nothing short of joyful.

Tori and Jedd’s wedding was a true celebration of love, set against the breathtaking backdrop of autumn leaves on a cherished family property. As high school sweethearts, their special day was filled with emotional moments, personal touches, and the warmth of close family and friends. From the heartfelt first looks with their parents to the charming detail of their dog walking down the aisle, every moment was beautifully captured in this gallery. Dive into their story and relive the magic of their unforgettable day.

Are you dreaming of a tropical paradise for your engagement shoot, but stuck in the winter cold of Winnipeg? Look no further than The Leaf, home to Canada’s tallest indoor waterfall! This is the perfect spot to capture beautiful memories while embracing a tropical climate indoors.

My good friends Tori & Jedd own the The Sister Doodles Collar Co. When they asked me to do their branding photos, I was so excited! From creating the mood board, to seeing our vision for their brand come true!

Sarah and Jonny had their engagement shoot and they decided to make it a family affair by including their energetic boys. The result? A heartwarming and fun-filled family lifestyle session! It not only documented the love between two people, but also showcases the bond they share with their little ones.

I’ve had the privilege of shooting with Karis & Matt a few times, and it’s always such a pleasure. The love these two share have poured into the start of their family.

When it comes to newborn photography, there are a variety of options to choose from. One popular choice is an in-home lifestyle newborn session. This type of session takes place in the cozy comfort of your own home, capturing the natural and candid moments that arise in their everyday environment. This is perfect is you don’t want to leave your house!

There’s something truly special about intimate backyard weddings. It’s a chance for couples to celebrate their love in a cozy and familiar setting, surrounded by close family

Picture this: a beautiful sunny day at Birds Hill Park, with its greenery providing an idyllic backdrop for capturing the love between two people. I’m always thrilled to be a part of such magical moments, especially in this picturesque location.

Grand Beach is like stepping into a dreamy paradise that’s just a short drive away from Winnipeg. The moment Allison, Bobby and I arrived, we were greeted by the breathtaking view of the endless sandy beach, and the prettiest rocks scattered along the shore and in the water. It was like Mother Nature herself had designed the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

There is something incredibly romantic about the idea of eloping, escaping the norms and traditions of a traditional wedding ceremony. And what better location for such an intimate affair than the picturesque Birds Hill Park? It sets the perfect stage for a truly remarkable wedding. I had the honour of photographing Kaylee & Mateo years ago both for their engagement and elopement. This day was truly something special.
